What this site is
Windrose Gunpowder is a single-purpose community guide focused on one part of the Windrose game: the gunpowder economy and the ingredient chain that feeds it. The site exists because the information that matters most to a player planning a crafting run — exact recipes, biome locations, worker bonuses, and weekly stockpile math — is scattered across forum threads, patch notes, and out-of-date wikis. Pulling it into one tight guide saves real time, and the two interactive calculators on the site translate the data into the numbers a player actually needs before stepping out the door.
What we cover
The homepage is a long-form guide on the gunpowder loop — early-game looting, the Millstone unlock, the recipe, farming strategy, and the FAQ. The Calculators section has two purpose-built tools: a Consumption Calculator that estimates weekly burn rate from your loadout, and a Production Planner that turns a target stockpile into an exact list of ash, sulfur, charcoal, and wood. The Resources section has dedicated pages for every ingredient and tool that touches the chain — nine pages in total, each with acquisition routes, uses, biome locations, and tips.
Sourcing
Every numerical fact on this site comes from a small canonical data file checked into the project repository. That file is seeded from the publisher's documented recipe values and is cross-checked against community testing for any number that could plausibly drift. When the game patches and a number changes, we update the data file and rebuild — there is no machine-generated content and no auto-summary layer between the source data and what you read.

Windrose Gunpowder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kraken Express, Pocketpair, or any other rights holder associated with the Windrose game. The site is a fan-built reference operated independently by community contributors. All trademarks, item names, biome names, and screenshots referenced in our copy belong to their respective owners. We use those names solely to identify the in-game objects we are describing, in keeping with nominative-fair-use practice for fan resources.
Who runs it
The site is maintained by a small group of community contributors who play the game and care about getting the numbers right. There is no parent company, no investor, and no advertising relationship at launch. If we add advertising in the future, we will update the privacy policy first and post a banner so returning visitors are notified before any ad code goes live.
